’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers indicate there’s a conversation to be had about the band that Jibri Bell is in with his friend, David Dacho. We thought that it was just those two that were in the band, but no, it’s comprised of another woman whom Jibri said was one of the best rappers this side of the east side of Chicago, and a character named “Space Cash” a white guy from Iowa, who can apparently play any instrument whatsoever.
The band even did a little write-up about him on their Facebook page, saying that he was an intergalactic being sent to Earth, to find out what “love” is and to bring it back to his people. Of course, this ties into the Black Serbs because according to them there can be no love without music, so Space Cash quickly adapted himself and became a wizard of music production. Some in the fandom are saying that this whole thing is a rip-off of Daft Punk, and they’re not altogether wrong.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Are the Black Serbs a rip-off of Daft Punk?
Now we kind of see what David is taking about when he says that Jibir needs a regular job and needs to be able to live and not just do music full-time. While playing with Space Cash is fun, they do honestly look like they have a great vibe together, it also looks a little… derivative.
This isn’t the first time a band has come across as kind of gimmicky. Maybe it works for the Black Serbs, maybe that’s just their thing. But David has a point, they’re not famous yet, they’re not selling out concerts and being asked to drop albums by major record labels, they’re a small-town band that happens to have a really gimmicky original character.
David seems to have a pretty good head on his shoulders, sure he wants to do music full-time eventually, but he knows which side his bread is buttered on and when he was suggesting that Jibri start driving for his trucking company he wasn’t trying to crap all over Jibri’s dreams – that’s how Jibri took it – he was trying to provide him with a decent income to finance his dreams until they took off, Jibri is not seeing the bigger picture and thinks that they’re just going to have skyrocketing success, and maybe they will eventually but David is right, right now they need to focus on being able to exist in a manner that isn’t economically, or for the matter, physically painful. Did anyone see that fight break-iout at the end? I Sure did! Stay tuned!!!
