Taeyen, for his part, is just three-years-old. And after having already had surgery, it seems that there is still a long way to go before he can get back to his usual self. With that being said, Taeyen’s grandmother Elicia had particularly been worked up about the whole situation.
And she let everyone know just how much of an uphill task that her grandson is going through. In her comments, Elicia said: “Taeyang was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a type of blood cancer that is more common in young children. As of May 29th, he has begun his chemotherapy.”
The situation has also not been helped by the personal life of Deavan. The former had broken up from Jihoon in 2019 and has moved on since then with none other than Topher Park. As of now, she is currently pregnant and on course to welcome another child.
Therefore, the last thing that she needs to be worrying about is another stressful situation involving her children. And yet, there are hopes for Taeyen to make a full recovery.
Elicia added: “As of May 29th, he has begun his chemotherapy. His mom has been informed that this will be a long two-year process, with a high success rate of full recovery in five years.”
The fans on social media sympathised with the predicament. They wished the couple’s son well and hoped that he would be able to make a full recovery at some point in the future. One person wrote: “Horrible News…I’m sending million prayers. Be strong, prayers on the way to Taeyang. Beautiful little boy.”
