Fred Savage has reportedly been fired from ‘The Wonder Years’ following numerous allegations of misconduct.

Fred was overseeing the reboot of the ABC show, by presiding over it as an executive producer as well as a director. While it is not exactly clear as to what the inappropriate behaviour was, sources stress that he did exhibit verbal outbursts.
And that was enough for him to be removed from the project. In an official statement given on behalf of Disney, a representative said: “Recently, we were made aware of allegations of inappropriate conduct by Fred Savage, and as is policy, an investigation was launched.
“Upon its completion, the decision was made to terminate his employment.'” With Fred no longer overseeing the project, there is the obvious question of where the show goes next. The release date for the second season of the show was expected to be in late 2022 or early 2023.
But that deadline could be pushed back further, if there is a widespread investigation that does lead to further consequences. Regardless of that, it is also important to bear in mind that this is not the first time that Fred has been accused of misconduct.
In 2015, a female member of the crew on the show ‘The Grinder,’ had accused Fred of harassing her. In addition, in 2018, actress Alley Mills stated that the original Wonder Years series was cancelled after a costume designer had accused Fred of sexual assault, which was then settled outside of court.
And after having had such a bad track record, it was not surprising that the fans on social media had a lot to say. A significant proportion of people were not surprised that another member of Hollywood had been caught out with inappropriate behaviour. One person wrote: “Not shocked by this. Hollyweird.”
