Floyd Mayweather’s Daughter Iyanna (Yaya) Mayweather Pleads Guilty Following Horrific Stabbing of Lapattra Jacobs

The daughter of Floyd Mayweather, Iyanna Mayweather has pleaded guilty to the stabbing of Lapattra Jacobs back in 2020. She is the mother of one of the children of rapper, Youngboy NBA. Mayweather, who is 21, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Houston, Texas. She went to court on Wednesday and she did admit to “unlawfully, intentionally, and unknowingly causing bodily injury to Lappatra Jacobs by cutting her with a knife.”

The Charges

Mayweather is being charged with this horrific stabbing and she is facing six years of probation for the assault. This could also include community service or restitution or both. When she was arrested for the crime, she initially was looking at serving 20 years in prison. There will be another hearing on June 16, 2022, to make a final statement on the time she will serve for taking someone’s life.

True Crime: Ivanna Mayweather Guilty of Horrific Stabbing

Iyanna was arrested in April of 2020 after she got into an argument with Jacobs at Youngboy NBA’s home. She was then taken to the Houston Harris County Jail but posted bond. Jacobs had multiple injuries to her arm and was taken to the hospital and she underwent surgery for her injuries. What caused this argument? Many of their friends have mentioned there has always been a little bit of tension between the two women because Iyanna also shares a child with YoungBoy NBA. It has also been reported that she is now his fiancé.

Mayweather’s attorney said, “We resolved the case between Iyanna and the State. The agreement calls for Iyanna being on deferred adjudication for a period of six years after which she will have no felony conviction and the case will be dismissed. She is eligible to have the deferred adjudication after two years pending her good behavior.

Although we believe that Iyanna was defending herself after being attacked, we thought this was the safest resolution for her. This is especially true since her boyfriend and his bodyguards refused to testify; probably due to their own legal problems.” Of course, Youngboy NBA did not want to make a comment about this case.

This is quite a bizarre incident and fans of the rapper are confused as to why he would let it happen at his home and in front of children as well. The legal problems of Youngboy NBA and his bodyguards have only been heard of in rumors and there has been no confirmation of that as of yet. We will monitor this case to see what happens next with Iyanna’s next trial.
