Eva Mendes says that she would be open to return to the world of acting but she has some specific guidelines for the roles she would accept. The 48-year-old actress appeared on ‘The View’ and discussed her 8-year hiatus from television and movies.
She said, “I have such a short list of what I will do. Before kids, I mean, if it was a fun project — but now I won’t do violence, I don’t want to do sexuality; the list is short.”
The last role she had came in 2014 in ‘The Lost River’ which was written and directed by her husband, Ryan Gosling. When she was asked what it would take to consider taking on a project she replied, “I hope so. It has to be nice and clean.”
Eva Mendes Says She Would Return To Acting But Only With Violence Or Sex
While she was very popular in the early and mid-2000s’, Mendes fell off the map when she began her family, and we can’t blame her for that. Though, it sounds like Disney would be a huge winner for her. Whoopi Goldberg made the suggestion and Mendes hopped right on saying, “Disney! Perfect!”
She may not have been appearing onscreen lately, but Mendes has been very busy as a co-owner and brand ambassador for Skura Style, a ‘smart sponge’ that tells you when it’s time to place the kitchen scrubby.
We hope to see Mendes return to the big screen, even if it’s a voice-over role in an animated film. Her roles in ‘A Place Beyond The Pines’, ‘Ghost Rider’ and ‘2 Fast 2 Furious’ were great for her, however, with her new guidelines, none of them would make the short list.
