CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are ready to dive into another character building episode, but this one looks to be more of a stopgap before we reach a climax this week.
This doesn’t mean there won’t be something interesting happening as there’s nothing like a few more surprises and personal troubles to get the ball moving.
In this case, we’re curious what’s going to be planted for future storylines.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Bearing witness
Nothing surprises us anymore when Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is around, and her seeing Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) talking isn’t as shocking as we’d expect.
For us, we’d expect her to see someone else come up to Diane for a few seconds as that would get Phyllis’ mind racing and get her digging to unravel the mystery.
‘Young and the Restless’ are ready to chalk the Diane storyline up to be as unimpressive as Ashland Locke (Robert Newman)’s, but we’re sure there’s got to be something more coming.
Of course, we could be totally wrong and Phyllis will be shocked to hear Kyle invite Diane to come to Italy with him or simply that Kyle’s being so nice.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Michael’s in trouble again
Whelp, it looks like Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will be heading into his second big storyline assignment for Victor Newman (Eric Braden), and once more Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) won’t be happy.
If we had to guess, we think he’s going to be working to find anything he can on what Diane’s been up to for Victor, and Lauren won’t like that he’ll once again put himself into a possible line of fire.
We’d like to think Michael will listen this time, but we doubt it. He loves the thrill and challenge, so we expect him to shadow Diane while she remains in Genoa City.
One would think this would be a job for anyone but a high priced attorney, but he does work for Victor and that in of itself is an answer and reason.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Chelsea’s struggling
Not to be left out of the character building, Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) is going to be dealing with her own trauma and emotions as she can’t find closure with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso)’s death.
While she wasn’t actively pursuing him, there were definitely thoughts and possible dreams of what could’ve been between them and now there’s no chance of anything happening.
We’ve mentioned before how we expect her to have a mental break, and this could be what triggers her.
What do you think Phyllis will see? Let us know below and check back with ‘Young and the Restless’ for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
