Nothing like kicking off a new week, and CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are set to see some pages turn in storylines.
With some back breaking information finding it’s way into the wrong, or right hands, depending on one’s perspective, things should start moving along now.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For May 23: Ashland’s weakness
Thanks to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) witnessing Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) refuse to let Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) see Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will have what he’s needed to deal with Ashland.
Of course, using Ashland’s son was an obvious thing to anyone, and the fact Victor will need it pointed out to him is a testament to the show’s lazy writing to keep this storyline alive.
Still, Victoria may not agree with Victor using Harrison and that could lead to complications. Until then, we think Victor will inform Ashland he has nothing left or that he’ll work something out so he can see his son.
But Ashland will have to leave Genoa City for good if he expects Victor’s help. We don’t see either of these working, so maybe Victor will have another plan in mind?
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For May 23: Recruitment drive
Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will talk shop with Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) and we suspect a potential job offer could be in the offering.
‘Young and the Restless’ may be getting ahead of ourselves, but we have a feeling Summer will begin looking for people to help her run Marchetti in Genoa City.
This is assuming Jabot will purchase the company, which we think will happen at some point. But it makes sense Summer will want to make sure she has a team in place before that happens.
Of course, Summer could also just be looking to add Chelsea and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson)’s company to Marchetti.
We’ll have to wait and see.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For May 23: Nikki’s on the hot seat
It was bound to happen at some point with Newman Enterprises changing CEOs and COOs on a regular basis based on nepotism, and all of that change will have Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) having her qualifications questioned.
By who is a great question, and we fully expect her to respond and secure her position, but this could open up a can of worms that could undermine things in the future.
We’ll be shocked if they go this route simple because Victor appointing family members isn’t anything new, but there could be a twist upcoming our way.
Will Victoria stand in Victor’s way of using Harrison? Let us know below and check back with ‘Young and the Restless’ for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
