The family of little 9 year old Ezra Blount, rejected Travis Scott’s offer to pay for the child’s funeral – but they weren’t the odd men out. Since yesterday it has come to light that five other families have also rejected Travis Scott’s offer to pay for their loved ones’ funerals.

It seems that these famiies want justice to be served and want the truth to come out and their family members to get their day in court, they want for Travis Scott and his entire team to have to face a judge an entire jury of their peers for what happened at Astroworld.

It’s not about the money – Five families reject Travis Scott’s funeral costs offer

The lawyers for the families of Jacob Jurinek and Franco Patino, 21 year old victims, said that they thought that Scott was simply trying to do a PR move and lesson the public outcry for the incident on his brand.

Axel Acosta’s family lawyer was far less flowery in their language and outright called it “BS”, they said that if Travis Scott had really cared about the families that he wouldn’t have to put out a press release to the general public saying that he was willing to pay for funerals.

The families view it as an insult, and while nothing is bringing their family members back and it is definitely not about the money, Travis Scott’s had the nerve to put in a dollar amount that he was willing to pay for these funerals.

Apparently the families have come forward and said that in the letter they recieved from Travis Scott that he offered to pay $7,500 in funeral costs for their loved ones.

When you look at the amount of money that Travis Scott has in comparison to your average funeral expenses (which can be anywhere from $7-$9,000 depending on the type of service that you have.) then one can see why the families would be so insulted by this offer.

These families not only have funeral expenses to pay, but just because someone dies does not mean that you have to stop paying their medical expenses. Some of them not only lost family members and have to pay those final expenses, but they also have to pay for the huge medical bills that were racked up in the process.

Scott and his team have not mentioned anything about looming medical expenses that these families may have. Looks like for about 6 of these families, the courts will have to decide the right course of action. May justice truly be served. Stay tuned!!!
