Singer Emeli Sandé has made the decision to come out amid the news that she is in a new relationship.
Singer Emeli Sandé Comes Out-‘It Feels Great’
The singer’s revelation arrives on the back end of her latest song “There Isn’t Much.” In the music video, there are many dancers who are part of the LGBTQ community. And given that she could not feel any happier, Emeli wanted to let the whole world know exactly how she was feeling.
And yet, she stopped short of actually revealing the name of the person that she was hooked up with. In an interview with the Metro, she said: “We met through music. And I definitely feel happier than ever. It feels great. For me, true love and having love in your life makes everything fit into place.”
Emeli was so happy, in fact, that she admitted that her partner had already met her parents. And by the looks of it, the meeting went ahead without any major hiccups. However, this relationship is also significant for the following reasons.
First of all, Emeli has finally been able to move on from her ex Adam Gouraguine. She had been married to him for two years ever since they walked down the aisle in 2012. Secondly, this relationship puts an end to the questions concerning her sexuality.
After all, Emeli was of the view that as long as she was happy, then she did not need to label herself. She added: “I’m not sure what I identify as but I guess so. I just feel like I should fall in love with whoever I fall in love with.”
The fans in response were fully behind her. They were simply happy to see Emeli in a good place and hoped that she would be able to continue making great music. One person wrote: “Good for Emeli and I wish her all the best.
“She had some horrible SoMe abuse thrown her way at New Years and I hope she doesn’t get any more hate for this.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this?
