The show was confirmed in a post on the Hotel’s Instagram. According to Venue Pilot, you can get a ticket for $20 to the 8 p.m. show. It’s amazing that you can attempt to assassinate a president and launch a music career in the same life but here we are.

In December of 2020, Hinckley launched his YouTube account to attempt to start up his dream of working in the music industry. Since then he has uploaded more than 36 videos and has over 26,000 subscribers. The clips are of him playing and singing on his guitar to reportedly ‘original’ tunes.

Hinckley opened fire on Ronald Reagan outside a hotel in Washington D.C. on March 30th, 1981, hitting him once in the chest as well as hitting three others including press secretary James Brady who was partially paralyzed for the rest of his less. Reagan survived and often joked about getting shot.

John was obsessed with then child-actress Jodie Foster who starred in ‘Taxi Driver’ alongside Robert DeNiro and stalked her with hopes of getting her attention. His plot to assassinate the president mirrored that of Travis from the film.

He was found not guilty by reason of insanity and spent 35 years in a psychiatric institution before being moved to Virginia in 2016 to live with his mother.
