Hollywood actor Jim Carrey has revealed that he is considering the prospect of retiring from the profession.
Jim Carrey Wants To Retire From Acting-‘I’ve Done Enough’
The 60-year-old has become one of the most popular actors of all time, as shown by his iconic performances in movies such as ‘Dumb & Dumber.’ And in line with the theme of movies, he stars in the ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2,’ film which is set to come out this month on April 8th.
While the anticipation for the film could not be any bigger, the very fact of the matter is that this could be his last movie. In an interview with ‘Access,’ he said: “Well, I’m retiring. Yeah, probably. I’m being fairly serious.
“I feel like — and this is something you might never hear another celebrity say as long as time exists — I have enough. I’ve done enough. I am enough.” Although there is always the possibility that the actor could change his mind, there is no denying that he has plenty of things to keep himself occupied.
He expanded on how he has already lined up some passions that he wishes to pursue, which include painting. Not only that, but the star is also working on his up-and-coming NFT project. And yet, he has left the door open for a potential movie provided that the script blows him out of the water.
He added: “It depends if the angels bring some sort of script that’s, you know, written in gold ink that says to me that it’s going to be really important for people to see, I might continue down the road.”
The reaction from the fans on social media was one of understanding. People were delighted by the memories the actor had created through his movies and were glad to see him happy.
One fan wrote: “Jim Carrey you brought me many laughs. May your days be full of happiness and nights of rest fulfilled sleep and zero stress. Take care.” Jim may be walking away from the acting industry, but he has left behind movies that will continue to stay relevant.
