Former ‘Dancing with the Stars’ host Brooke Burke has blasted Tyra Banks’ demeanour on the show.

Brooke, for her part, would happen to be in the know of such things, given that she was one of the mainstay members of the franchise. Not only did she host the show from season 10 up until season 17 in conjunction with Tom Bergeron, but she also happened to appear as a contestant.
And in the case of the latter, she managed to walk away by winning the show on the 7th season. That is why she felt so strongly about speaking on the way that Tyra came across. In an interview on the “Behind the Velvet Rope” podcast, Brooke said: “[She is] a diva. Everybody knows.
“There’s nothing wrong with that, and I’m not saying anything bad about her — be a diva! It’s [just] not the place to be a diva.” In reality, whatever Tyra did was always going to be a tough task for the following reasons. First of all, she was replacing long-time hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews.
And given that the pair had been on the screens for over a decade, the immediate transition was always going to be difficult. This was most notably seen when reports emerged that Tom could make a comeback to the show on the grounds that the public did not resonate with Tyra.
But that prospect came to an end when Tom revealed that he had no intention of doing so. That is why Brooke understood that Tyra had a tough job. She added: “Change is hard for everyone. They’ve gone through a lot on that show, that’s for sure. Like, it is just not about you as the host, right?
“So, yeah, I think Tyra is great in a shining role. I will just say that.” Tyra still has plenty of time to win the fans over, and who knows, perhaps the public will warm to her going forward.
