There were ultimately mixed emotions, as the happiness of a new daughter has been clouded by the death of their son, who would have joined his twin sister. But after everything that he has been through, Cristiano was just happy to be back with his family and lover Georgina Rodríguez.
And now that he is home, he wanted to let everyone know that he appreciated their support during these difficult moments. In a post to his fans on Instagram, Cristiano shared a picture of himself holding his newborn daughter. Georgina is in the room, as well as all of their other children.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “Gio and our baby girl are finally together with us. We want to thank everyone for all the kind words and gestures. Your support is very important and we all felt the love and respect that you have for our family.
“Now it’s time to be grateful for the life that we’ve just welcomed.” Despite being home, it is not clear how this is going to impact Cristiano’s playing career. After all, it will be a tough task to come back from this and bounce back stronger.
As of now, he has missed one match since the news, which was Manchester United’s 4-0 loss to Liverpool. And going forward, Cristiano will have to think if he is ready to hit the field once again. After all, with a Champions League place up for grabs, Cristiano’s influence will be needed.
The fans on social media, though, were behind him whatever he chose to do. People were of the view that some things are just bigger than sports. One person wrote: “Wishing the family best wishes for the future.”
