Chris Rock’s Brother Kenny Rock Demands That Will Smith Be Stripped Of His Oscar-‘He Embarrassed Himself’
Will’s actions have been dominating the headlines ever since he slapped Chris at the Oscars after being offended by the comedian’s joke concerning his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair loss.
As of now, Will has managed to keep a hold of his Oscar, but his future projects are uncertain. Netflix and Sony have currently postponed two of his projects, as there is concern over whether he will be canceled.
But for Kenny, the actor must have his accolade removed so that it sets an example that such behaviour is not tolerated. A source said: “He should NOT be invited back to any other Academy Awards ceremonies, and he oughta have his Best Actor Oscar taken back.”
But it was not just Chris that had been damaged by this. Kenny expanded on how Will’s career will never be the same again. After all, he had reached the pinnacle of the acting profession but his best actor award will now become a sideshow piece.
In addition, the chances of Will being cast as a lead in future major movies is also open for debate. Kenny added: “In my opinion, he embarrassed himself by doing that and his legacy by doing that.”
With that being said, Kenny is not too keen on the idea of accepting Will’s apology. This was on the basis that the actor had shown a lack of remorse at the time in his acceptance speech. Not only that, but Chris’ other brother Tony Rock has already made it clear that he will not accept an apology.
And Kenny’s following comments follow a similar line of reasoning: “I might have looked at it differently had he initially apologized when he got on the stage and cried and accepted the award, but he didn’t.”
