While on vacation with Rihanna, A$AP Rocky has been arrested. He was taken into custody at the Los Angeles airport on April 20. He is being connected to a shooting that took place in November of 2021. He was coming home on a private plane with his girlfriend from their vacation in Barbados.
The Incident
Apparently Rocky has been under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department. He was involved in a shooting near Vista Del Mar and Selma Avenue on November 6, 2021. The victim of this shooting did survive and he is the one that told the police that Rocky was present. According to the victim, he said that Rocky shot him three or four times on the street.
A$AP Rocky Arrested While On Vacation
Rocky’s attorney, Alan Jackson, told news outlets of his arrest, and then the LAPD took to Twitter to announce that Rocky had been arrested in this case and remains in their custody. This arrest comes as he is expecting a child with Rihanna.
They started dating in 2020 and had been friends for many years. They announced that they were expecting a child on January 31 of 2022. The couple continues to post photos together of Rihanna showing off her baby bump. Rihanna is currently in the third trimester of her pregnancy.
When they announced their pregnancy, there were rumors that he had been cheating on her with her friend, Amina Muaddi. This speculation came on April 13 when a fashion blogger posted it on social media. He wrote, “Rihanna & A$ASP Rocky have split. Rihanna broke up with him after she caught him cheating with shoe designer Amina Muaddi. Amina was responsible for designing Fenty’s footwear and offering and Rihanna is often seen in custom shoes from her own label.”
Of course, this was all a big rumor that was made up and then Louis wrote, “It was a dumb decision to post based on the information I had received. I’d like to formally apologize to all parties involved with my actions and for my reckless tweets.”
Rihanna has yet to post about Rocky’s arrest and we will continue to keep our eye on this case. With how much these two do post on social media, it is odd that Rihanna hasn’t commented yet. We hope to hear updates soon from the LAPD when they have some more information on Rocky. Once they have charged him, hopefully we will hear what is next for him and if he will go to prison for this crime.
