‘Vanderpump Rules’ most enduring couple, Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney have confirmed that they will be splitting up. The shocking news came after the couple were most recently seen at the season 9 Vanderpump Rules Tell All talking about trying to fall pregnant and start a family.
After twelve years together, the last six as husband and wife, the exes posted separate announcements to their Instagram accounts, both filled with enduring respect for one another.
While Katie said a lot of “we decided”, Schwartz was very candid about the fact that it was his wife’s decision to split.

Though some fans felt blind-sided by the announcement, rumors have been swirling for several weeks now that all was not well between the two reality stars.
In February Katie quoted another reality queen- Kim Kardashian, herself in the middle of a very messy divorce, the post reading, “In the last two years, I decided I’m going to make myself happy. And that feels really good. And even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it’s important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy.”
The quote ended with, “I’ve chosen myself. I think it’s okay to choose you.”
The break-up rumors intensified earlier this week when Katie posted a photo of herself to her Instagram, clearly no longer wearing her wedding ring.
Cast mate Raquel Leviss let her support be known to both Katie and Tom, commenting with words of support on both of their IG posts. Raquel went through a recent split herself, breaking up with fiancé, James Kennedy the night before the Tell Al was filmed.
One cast VPR cast member who will clearly be on Schwartz’s side (though both announcements insist there is no side to choose), is his business partner and bestie, Tom Sandoval. Throughout the ninth season of VPR, Schwartz “broke up” with Tom to spend more time with his wife.
While Katie and Schwartz married in 2016, they didn’t file the official paperwork until three years later in 2019.
