President Joe Biden‘s administration offered to help Ukrainians evacuate from Kyiv early Saturday morning after the capital came under intense attacks from Russia. However, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wasn’t too fond of that idea and declined.
President Zelenskyy said, “The fight is here, I need ammunition, not a ride,” according to Ukraine’s Embassy to the U.K. A true leader and powerful example is being set by the President of Ukraine. If someone knocks down your door, stand your ground and fight for what’s your, not by sending people to do it for you, but by leading them side by side.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy Tells Biden To Shove His “Flee” Offer: “I Need Ammunition, Not A Ride!”
US State Department spokesperson Ned Price said during a press conference on Thursday that Zelenskyy remains a “prime target for Russian aggression.” Zelenskyy remains in Kyiv and released a video in which he said he would remain and not surrender, additionally rejecting rumors that he had called for Ukrainians to surrender.
“We aren’t going to lay down weapons. We will protect the country. Our weapon is our truth, and our truth is that it’s our land, our country, our children. And we will defend all of that.”
Zelenskyy is becoming quite a legend around the world, and everywhere people are acknowledging his leadership and for staying in his capital city amid the Russian invasion. He is giving the Ukrainian people hope, showing them how to defend themselves, and sending a message to the world. He will not go quietly into the night.
Meanwhile, leaders around the world have been cowering from protestors honking horns, and allowing people to steal and pillage their own cities. They would do good to watch President Zelenksyy as he continues to defend his country from Russia.
