‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Michael Mealor will be returning to the show as Kyle Abbott as confirmed by Soap Opera Digest. Mealor will be making a long-term comeback as Kyle. The actor took over the role in 2018 and has made a few appearances since he left the show last year.
He recently had a short guest appearance on ‘It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’ but has now signed a deal to return to Genoa City and several fans are thrilled for his return. Not only will he be returning which is exciting itself, but his mother, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) has also made a comeback! We suspect there will be a lot of drama upcoming!
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Soap Opera Digest Confirms The Return Of Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor)
Interestingly enough, neither Mealor or ‘The Young and the Restless’ haven’t made the announcement on social media which seems a little odd. However, there are also rumors suggesting that they will be recasting the role of Summer Newman (Hunter King), as having Kyle come back without his family would be very strange.
Of course, while we would love to see King return to the role alongside Mealor, it looks unlikely that it’s going to happen. Never say never, though.
We anxiously await the return of Mealor however, and we look forward to the storyline that he has with his father, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and his mother, Diane. Heads will spin, and we’re here for it! Is the drama back?
