‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra) threw it back to her first-ever film on her Instagram stories, so we did a quick little dive into the film and found out what it was and where you can watch it.
The film is called ‘Prowl’ from 2010, directed by Patrik Syversen, and stars Hope as Amber, a small-town girl who dreams of getting out and finding an apartment in the big city. However, when their transportation breaks down, she and her friends must accept a ride in the back of a semi. The driver of the semi refuses to stop, and soon they discover the cargo is hundreds of cartons of blood. Their panic turns to terror when the truck disgorges them into a dark, abandoned warehouse where blood-thirsty creatures learn to hunt human prey.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra) Throws It Back To Her First Film ‘Prowl’ From 2010
Hope shared an image of the blu-ray from @Nathan_Hibbett and while I haven’t watched it yet myself, it’s now definitely on my list. As of right now, it’s only streaming on Prime Video, where you can either rent for $3.99, or buy the DVD itself on Amazon for $10. I was surprised as I thought this would have been on Tubi TV for sure!
If you’re interested in seeing Courtney Hope outside of soap operas and video games (Control), this could be a great place to start. Not only is it a completely different genre, but it’s her first-ever film! I love how she’s not trying to hide it either. A lot of actors and actresses who start out in silly films and shows try to bury it down so they’re not compared to that, but Hope doesn’t care. And now, I’m going to go watch it.
