For those of you OG youtube viewers, you will remember the pallete that started it all for Jeffree Star cosmetics, the Beauty Killer palette back in 2009. It came in your basic pink packaging with gold lettering and unless you really want to scour eBay for it, it is no longer available because it is no longer being produced by Jeffree Star cosmetics, its day in the sun was done a long time ago – but not to fear, because Jeffree Star has decided to seize the moment once more and release the Beauty Killer 2 Pallete.
Beauty Killer was an homage to Jeffree Star’s days in the music industry, it was an album of his that he didn’t really feel got a fair shot, according to him. There was a time back in the mid-2000s when Jeffree Star did Warped Tour and actually had a musical career on MySpace where he released albums and was a comparatively successful musician.
Jeffree Star releases two new palletes
The thing is unless you were really into MySpace back in the day you kind of didn’t know that, now Jeffree Star’s name is synonymous with make-up and it’s really hard to imagine him doing much else that he’s made a $40M mark in the beauty industry and literally everyone is talking about him, even Britney Spears has touted his products!
(Before she deleted the post due to backlash she got) True to the original, the eyeshadow pans, they are the same size so if that’s something you liked in the first one, the second pallete won’t disappoint.
The new Beauty Killer 2 pallete has greens, purples, and yellows as the shades that most stand out, although they honestly are sort of reminiscent of having a bruise? But that could just be the way things are ordered in the pallete. There’s also a decent bronze shade that stands out in that pallate as well.
He also released a skin front pallete called “ice Crusher” that had some truly gorgeous shades in it, but that’s just the nature of the skin frost formula, they always tend to be really pigmented and gorgeous. The thing that was released in this collection that most stood out however was the make-up mirrors that were made in the shape of meat cleavers! Of course, there is no blade to them, it’s just meat-clever shaped.
He also released a little meat cleaver necklace to go with the collection, which is just an interesting fashion accessory. Not one word was said by Jeffree about the Houston Rodeo in this video, but did we expect it? Nah, not really. Though, we kind of wonder if we’ll get to see that $50K Balenciaga haul soon. Stay tuned!!!
