Jake Paul has revealed that he is serious about fighting UFC star Conor McGregor in an MMA match.

The pair have been having a back-and-forth of late, which has resulted in the pair exchanging verbal shots on social media. While this could have easily been seen as a way for the duo to get some extra publicity, for Jake, it is anything but that.
He admitted that he had Conor on his radar and was looking to secure a match up as soon as possible. And the prospect of doing it in the Octagon did not deter him, even though the initial reports indicated that Jake was looking to get in the boxing ring.
After all, that would have been the most feasible option since Conor has crossed over into the boxing world, as shown by his fight with Floyd Mayweather. So when Jake was open to the idea of doing it in the UFC, it was a surprise.
In an interview with TMZ, he said: “Conor is on a downhill spiral. His limbs are all broken. So, stand-up game, I’m coming out and knocking him out, first round.” This begs the question, what are the chances of this actually happening?
Well, Jake is adamant that it can go ahead for the following reasons. First of all, the YouTuber admitted that he is now in the same weight class as McGregor. After all, it is no secret that the latter has been bulking up of late.
Secondly, given that Jake has another vested interest in the bout, he feels that there is enough on the line to make it happen. He added: “If I win, then Dana has to increase the minimum of fighter pay. If I lose, then they can take all of the money and whatever and so be it. But, I know I can beat Conor.”
Time will tell whether this match-up does end up going ahead, but given everything we have seen so far, one thing for sure is that it would most likely break pay-per-view records. So there you have it folks. What did you think about all of this?
