Most recently, Madame Tusseaud’s revealed their version of the 2022 wax version of Arianna Grande and it has divided fans across the internet. The likeness is definitely an upgrade from the 2019 London version, which most fans feel like missed by a country mile, because even though the fashion was spot-on for 2019 Ari, the facial features were decidedly off.
The May 2021 wax figure, which was revealed in Hollywood was a much, much closer match, some fans even saying that it was the only version that counted, but this version is pretty good.
Arianna Grande’s latest wax figure divides fans!
The updated version includes Ari’s tattoos, her signature high ponytail, and it even wears an outfit that looks like something Ari wore on the tour for her Sweetener album.
A fan on Twitter let people in on a bit of the process behind wax figure making by saying that the wax figure only looks like the person in question if the celebrity goes and gets measured for the figure, and according to this source, Ariana didn’t do that, so the artists just went by what they knew. The fan went on to say that for just guessing, the artists did a pretty good job. (We’d hope so, they are pros, after all.)
However, you can’t win ‘em all and some people even tweeted, “This isn’t Ariana Grande, this is Paige Neiman.” apparently, Ariana has a lookalike on tiktok that impersonates her as Cat Valentine named Paige Neimann and people are saying that the wax figure actually looks more like her than it does Ari herself.
In that same vein people were tweeting, “They are so wrong for this.” and “What is this??!!!” and “This is criminal!!!” but seriously, all things considered the figure isn’t totally off. It’s not a complete recreation of Ari’s facial features, but no wax figure ever really is.
Still, the fans are pretty divided over it and to some, the only wax figure worth mentioning is the 2021 Madame Tusseaud’s Hollywood version that was revealed last May. That one does seem to have Ariana’s signature “look” down pat, right down to her expression, but we’ll welcome the new version too. Stay tuned!!!
