Trisha Paytas declared themselves non-binary awhile back, but does also adppt the traditional pronouns of she and her as well because that is their assigned gender from birth. (And possibly to make it easier on themselves and everyone else.)

However, now since they are pregnant it begs the question – will they be raising their child woth traditional gender roles? They recently tweeted out that they do not know the gender of their child yet and that’s to be expected because it’s really too early to tell. However they did say that they feel like it’s a boy, but they really want a girl.

Will Trisha Paytas raise their child with typical gender roles?

When they were discussing having kids rhey were mentioning things like dressing up for Halloween and how they would let their child be the Disney Princess as opposed to them (subtley shading other vlogger families on youtube that dressed their child up as the animal sidekick) and while that really says nothing about gender roles itself, one has to wonder how much traditional gender roles will play in the life of Trisha’s now imminent future child.

One would hope that no matter if the child is traditionally gendered or ends up being non-binary at some point that she would be a supportive, understanding parent. You can already tell that she loves this child and that can only be a good thing.

Currently she is rather high on life and totally enjoying the fact that after 8 years of infertility she has conceived, and we can all understand that, especially anyone who has ever has fertility problems or even just plain medical trauma before. It feels good to be told that you can indeed accomplish something that medical science never thought you’d be able to.

Even though Trisha has said that neither she nor Moses Hacmon currently know the gender of said child, she did say in her tweet that they would be doing a gender reveal soon. Now, if you want my humble opinion having a regular old baby shower that isn’t influenced by gender in any way would be good too, but it’s the new millenium and we know that Trisha likes to capitalize on everything, but hey, it makes for good content, right? Stay tuned!!!
