What do B&B alum, Adrienne Frantz (Ambre Moore), NCIS alum, Mark Harmon and former CBS Evening News anchor, Dan Rather have in common? They’ve all been drank under the table by the legendary Betty White at an airport bar!
Recently Frantz opened up to Soap Opera Digest about a time almost two decades ago when the unlikely foursome found themselves facing flight delays at the Las Vegas airport. However, a measly flight delay can’t keep a firecracker like Betty White down.

“Betty suggested we go to this pub at the terminal,” Frantz spilled, “and we proceeded to sit and drink for hours!”
Frantz then described how White kept egging the group to keep up with her, which they struggled to do.
“We tried our best and got very tipsy,” Frantz laughed, “but wouldn’t you know, Betty outdrank all of us.”
When enquired how she managed to throw so much back yet continue to see straight, White simply explained to the ingenue who would end up co-starring with her on The Bold, “That’s how you stay young.”
If Frantz, Harmon and Rather thought they catch a break once their flight was called, they were in for a surprise. The soap alum told of how White kept the party going, and the booze flowing onboard the flight.
When asked if she was a willing and able participant in White’s celebrating for the sake of celebrating, Frantz replied, “When Betty pushes you to drink, you just do it. I mean, how many opportunities to day drink with a legend are you going to get?
True words!
Frantz has a theory, too, on why White took her ‘final bow’ at age 99 on New Years Eve, 2021,
“How fitting that she died on New Year’s Eve,” Frantz said. “She got everyone to drink a toast to her!”
We sure did… and we may have just found a new reason to day drink. I mean…99 is a gooooood innings!
