A student by the name of Jack Sweeney has attempted to secure some money from billionaire Elon Musk in an agreement to take down a bot that he had created which tracks the billionaire’s private jet.

According to reports, Jack had created ‘ElonJet‘ which would allow anybody at any given time to know the whereabouts of Elon’s plane.
And given that this could pose a danger to the billionaire, with the potential that there could be significant breaches of security as a result, Elon naturally wanted to do everything in his power to make sure that it was removed.
In response, he agreed to offer Jack $5,000 as well as stating: “Can you take this down? It is a security risk.” Rather than feeling intimidated by everything, Jack decided to take matters into his own hands.
So much so that he responded by requesting that the billionaire grant him more money. And if you thought that was cheeky, Jack decided that he would perhaps give it all up if he was granted the opportunity of an internship with Elon himself.
In response, Jack remarked: “Any chance to up that to $50k? It would be great support in college and would possibly allow me to get a car maybe even a Model 3.”
It is not clear exactly what is going to transpire out of this, but Jack did admit that his project would have to come down at some point given that it could easily get out of hand.
After all, it would have the potential of creating a situation where other high-profile people could be tracked and therefore disrupt any right to privacy that they would otherwise have had.
Jack’s following comments confirmed as much: “While ElonJet hasn’t come down but I have warned of it. We need to remember to keep our boundaries if we don’t it may have to come down or may forcibly be taken down.
“ElonJet was started to track business moves not to have people ambush Elon at airports.” So will Elon agree to Jack’s demand or will Jack back down anyway? Time will tell.
