Actress Sharon Stone has blasted Joe Rogan over his views on Covid-19.

The podcast host has been under increasing scrutiny of late, which has resulted in several high-profile musicians removing their music from Spotify on the basis that the platform has been giving airtime to Joe, who has been accused of spreading misinformation about the pandemic.
Although Joe has apologised in the aftermath and stressed that he will be looking to showcase a more balanced view, the very fact of the matter is that it has not stopped calls to have him canceled. Much in the same way, Sharon believes that Joe’s views could end up putting people at risk.
In an official statement, she said: “Mr. Rogan is risking peoples’ lives with his idiocy and his professing that his thoughts about COVID are opinions, they aren’t opinions, COVID and infectious diseases are science and they are fact-based situations…and [he is] a[n] a–hole.”
Sharon, clearly, has very strong views on this topic. And on closer inspection, it is easy to see why for the following reasons.
First of all, she has been known for the work that she has done in infectious diseases, which was best demonstrated when she received a Peace Summit Award for helping to tackle HIV/AIDS.
Secondly, given that she has spoken on how she has known Doctor Fauci throughout the years, the last thing that she will want to hear is somebody questioning his integrity.
She stated: “I just want to say — COVID is not an opinion-based situation and Mr. Rogan thinking that his opinion or a disclaimer for the lives that he personally has affected and caused losses of, it’s not an opinion.”
Once again, Joe has put himself in a difficult position. It is true to say that Sharon is not medically qualified too, but she does have the experience of seeing people battling diseases first-hand, something with Joe by all accounts does not have.
As such, it is not surprising to hear that anything that Joe has to say on the matter that moves away from the orthodox view is bound to get him criticism.
