Queen Elizabeth II made her first public appearance of the year in the run up to Accession Day, which represents her 70th year in charge.
Queen Elizabeth II Makes Her First Public Appearance Of 2022-‘She Looks Great’
The monarch is set to have her Platinum Jubilee this year, which will recognise her being in power for seven decades. Although there is still uncertainty about whether or not Prince Harry will attend, that has not let the monarch have her spirits dampened.
According to reports, the Queen was in attendance alongside other charities and by all accounts things went well. In the video here, we can see that the Queen is looking in good spirits. She is walking around and meeting and greeting various people before she cuts into a cake.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “Her Majesty is the first Monarch in history to reach the historic milestone of 70 years on the throne.
“The Queen was joined by members of the Sandringham Women’s Institute, pensioners who live on the Sandringham Estate, West Norfolk Befriending and Little Discoverers, an early-years charity for children with disabilities.”
While that was a significant moment, as it marked the first outing of the year, there is no denying the fact that the Queen was not 100 percent.
She was pictured walking around with a walking stick, despite initial claims that this was only done for the sake of comfort rather than medical purposes.
Secondly, it was also one of the very few moments that we have seen the Queen being in public in the aftermath of the death of her late husband Prince Philip.
Nevertheless, the response on social media was very positive. A significant proportion of people were visibly delighted that the Queen had made a public appearance, and in doing so, they felt that she looked in a very good state of mind.
One person wrote: “She looks great!” With 70 years under her belt, this year promises to be a huge celebration to recognise the accomplishments that the Queen has made.
With that in mind, 2022 has the potential to bring a lot of positivity to the Royal family after what had been a very difficult 2021. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
