Nick Cannon has apologised for the manner in which he announced the news of his expected baby.Â
Nick Cannon Apologises For How He Celebrated The News Of His Impending Child With Bre Tiesi In Light Of His Son Zen’s Recent Death
The talk show host recently came out and confirmed that he was going to be expecting an 8th child with none other than Bre Tiesi.
And given that his son Zen had recently passed away last year aged just 5-months-old from brain cancer, whom she shared with Alyssa Scott, Nick had inadvertently caused some pain as his happy news was viewed as a sign of disrespect when he mentioned Zen in his celebrations.
In an episode on his show, ‘The Nick Cannon Show’, Nick said: “I misspoke and probably went too much into detail on Monday.
“It probably felt like I was making some comparatives when talking about the passing of my son Zen and then also talking about the new child I’m expecting.”
But that was not the only reason why Nick was subjected to heavy criticism. A certain subset of people questioned why he would decide to have a child so quickly in the aftermath of Zen’s death.
After all, at the time that Zen had died, Nick had made it clear that he was unsure whether or not he was going to have any further children.Â
Not only that, but given that Nick has children with a variety of women, there is no denying that he has complicated his life a little. And yet, Nick wanted to let everyone know that he still has love for Zen.
He added: “I know it seems awkward because people are trying to do the timing and all that…We lost a child and it still is a sincere and real situation. I love her, I love my son Zen, and I always will.”
In Nick’s defense, he has been through a very difficult time of late. Therefore, when it comes to judging him, it should be borne in mind.
But going forward, it is probably wise that he keeps his personal life out of the public limelight and focus on making sure that his family is taken care of.
