Evan Rachel Wood has expanded on her sexual assault allegations against Marilyn Manson in the trailer to a new documentary entitled, ‘Phoenix Rising.’

The actress, for her part, is set to appear in the HBO project which outlines the activism and emotional suffering she has been through following the aftermath of the accusations.

While Marilyn has denied the charges that he has been accused of, the very fact of the matter is that this documentary is hardly going to do any favours for his reputation.

In the trailer, Evan is heard saying the following: “We need to make sure this doesn’t happen to anybody else.

“I realised that this is the first time I haven’t been doubted or questioned or shamed; this is the first time that someone was really listening.”

The documentary received major acclaim at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival when it aired last month. And this was based on the frankness that Evan had shown.

According to the show, Evan had expanded on her allegations that she had been raped on a music set, as she was filming for Marilyn’s song ‘Heart-Shaped Glasses.’

When addressing those claims, Evan stated the following: “I was coerced into a commercial sex act under false pretences. That’s when the first crime was committed against me. I was essentially raped on-camera.”

The social media response for Evan was mixed. A certain subset of people praised Evan for the bravery that she had shown. After all, she was risking damage to her reputation as there was no guarantee that her claims would be given airtime.

Meanwhile, others questioned her credibility on the basis that it was her word against the musician. One person wrote: “I’m sorry, but I remember her actually *bragging about their relationship in the bedroom and being very smug about it.

“There’s not a shred of credible evidence that points to Manson being guilty. It’s all hearsay.” Time will tell whether Marilyn is eventually found to be guilty.

But based on what this documentary has said so far, things are not looking very good for him. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
