Actor Sean Penn Is In Ukraine Filming A Documentary About The Russian Invasion

Sean Penn has gone into Ukraine to film a documentary about the Russian invasion and says he will tell the world the truth about what’s going on. Penn appeared in Kyiv on Thursday, the capital of Ukraine, after the invasion began and the government says he’s there to capture the conflict on film.

The Office of the President of Ukraine says Sean Penn is showing ‘courage and honesty’ and that these traits are lacking among many western politicians. Penn sat in a press briefing Thursday in Kyiv listening to government officials. He also spoke to journalists, and the military to understand how they are mounting a defense.

Russia has begun a full-on invasion into Ukraine, attacking from all angles. They’ve dropped bombs on residential and political buildings, sending people running for safety. As well as moving in ground units and air attacks.

Penn will have plenty to documents and President Volodymyr Zelenskiy says, “The more such people in our country now, true friends of Ukraine, who support the struggle for freedom, the sooner it will be possible to stop Russia’s treacherous attack.”

As of now, the United States has imposed new sanctions on exports going to Russia, but as for a military response, Ukraine has essentially been on its own and Russian President Vladimir Putin shows no signs of backing down.

We hope for the best for the Ukrainian people and that they find safety in their homes. Meanwhile, John Kerry in the U.S. wants Russia to keep their mind on global warming and think about their emissions for climate change. Way to have your priorities in a row sir.

What do you think? Can you believe where John Kerry’s priorities are and should the United States and other western countries help Ukraine in their hour of need? Let us know in the comments below.
