Something worse could have definitely happened, right? There are reports that say a woman was arrested after hitting Prince Andrew’s car window in an apparent royal security breach. The woman has since been released on bail, though. Here’s what you need to know.
According to reports, the unidentified woman approached Prince Andrew’s car while he was driving from his Royal Lodge home on Windsor estate to Windsor Castle, where he often goes horseback riding.
Woman Arrested After Hitting Prince Andrew’s Car Window
The woman then rushed towards his Range Rover and proceeded to bang on the driver’s side of the car. Eyewitnesses say that Prince Andrew looked rather startled as the woman continued to harass him on his commute into the grounds.
The 50-year-old woman was later seen talking to a man believed to be a royal protection officer. She was arrested on suspicion of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress, according to the Thames Valley Police.
A person who witnessed the interaction told the Daily Mail the woman “literally appeared out of nowhere” at the intersection and started “banging” on the window shouting “Andrew, Andrew.”
Prince Andrew has pretty much been canceled both in public and behind closed doors because of his association with Jeffrey Epstein and a new lawsuit that has been brought against him. However, Prince Andrew has asked a U.S. court to dismiss Virginia Giuffre’s sexual abuse lawsuit, as his legal team beleives it’s “frivolous.” Virginia alleges that she was forced to have sex with the Duke of York on a number of occasions while she was still a minor.
Lawyers for the Duke of York say he “unequivocally denies” sexually abusing or assaulting Ms Giuffre, now 38, and described her lawsuit as “frivolous” and an attempt to “achieve another payday at his expense.”
