‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that the time of Richard Burgi as Ashland Locke is officially over and the people behind the show have already cast Robert Newman to take over the role sometime next month. The news was shocking to hear and fans are wondering what happened.
We’re learning that this was not Burgi’s choice by any means and there are some theories that it was COVID related. His wife, Liliana Lopez was furious on Instagram, replying to fans comments and explaining that it wasn’t his choice and the writers of the show made a mistake.

It’s sad to see Burgi go, and now we will see Robert Newman step into the role starting in February.
