‘The Bachelor’ Contestant Reveals The Price Of Love (Or Fame) In Viral TikTok

The Bachelor’ fans have been treated to quite the fashion show over the years as up to 30 women stepping out of limo after limo (or pick-up truck or palanquin), all dolled up to the nines.

Now a contestant who was eliminated on the very first night of the currently airing season 26 has gone viral on Tik Tok as she dishes about the money she forked over for her (less than) 15 minutes of fame.

Daria Rose was a favorite with audiences when her bio revealed she had been accepted into seven of the eight prestigious Ivy League schools and has a Harvard degree. If that wasn’t accomplishment enough, Daria is now in her third year at Yale Law School.

Unfortunately, Daria wasn’t as popular with the Bachelor, Clayton Echard as she was with audiences (or university admissions officers). Daria was not given a rose on night one and we never saw her, or her wardrobe, again.

Until now.

Not knowing how long she’d last, Daria had to pack for the best case scenario, which included several expensive ball length dresses for cocktail parties and rose ceremonies.

On Tik Tok, Daria revealed she’d spent over $2000 just in evening attire, not to mention getting her make-up and hair done for her big entrance or the other “cute and casual” clothes she’d brought to wear on dates she never received an invite to..

In the video, Daria showed off 6 dresses (and one elegant pants suit). The one dress audiences did see, her blue, floor-length Lord & Taylor gown was purchased for $198, and that was the most inexpensive look Daria had packed.

The four other outfits ranged in price from $285 to $420 each.

Many commenters on the Tik Tok said they had no idea the contestants had to fork out so much money (in Daria’s case, a cool $2,238 for evening looks alone), believing that stylists for The Bachelor would provide the ladies with everything free of charge.

Now they have discovered that’s not the case, many claims they’d be shopping at Shien or other discounts “wear them once and they fall apart” online stores.

“Very expensive,” Dari noted after posting her literal receipts. “So um, if anyone needs to borrow a dress, let me know.”

Maybe they need to set up a “take a dress, leave a dress” station for upcoming contestants- we all know nothing would be over a size 4, anyway!

The Bachelor airs Monday nights at 8pm EST on ABC
