‘Teen Mom’ couple Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra have paid off a federal tax lien to the tune of a cool $535,010.97, however, the parents to Novalee (7), Vaeda (2), newborn Rya, and 12-year-old Carly–whose adoption was detailed by MTV– still owe $321,789 more!

The couple was hit with the first tax lien- which is when the government lays legal claim against your property when you neglect or fail to pay a tax debt- back in November of 2019 after failing to pay their taxes in both 2016 and 2017. The second came after they still didn’t pay their taxes in 2018!

It has been reported that lead Teen Mom OG cast members make $25,000+ an episode, meaning Tyler and Catelynn easily make six figures per season.

The pair, who have been a couple since middle school, and were even stepbrother and sister for a short while, became household names during the first season of 16 and Pregnant in 2009. Over the twelve years, they have worked with MTV they have accrued an estimated net worth of approximately 1.5 million. This seems to be a conservative estimation at best.

Tyler has agreed his daughters are financially “set up for life” thanks to their parents’ appearances on 16 and Pregnant, Teen Mom, and any other MTV spin-off. “College is paid for and that was mine and Catelynn’s main thing,” Tyler has said. “Each of our children has trust funds that money goes into and they can’t touch.”

Catelynn and Tyler also cash in on social media and once owned the children’s clothing brand Tierra Reign. This is now defunct, however. Tyler flips properties to add to the family wealth and Catelynn also has a “regular person’s” job, microblading eyebrows.

It seems the family has enough going on that they shouldn’t have to dip into those funds to help pay off their second whopping debt to the government!
