Ryan Seacrest seems to have had a subtle shade at Andy Cohen after the talk show host shared the ratings in response to his ‘New Year’s Rockin Eve’ show.

Ryan Seacrest Subtly Shades Andy Cohen By Sharing His Higher New Year Show Ratings

Ryan and Andy went head to head on two different networks in order to see who had the better New Year show. And during the course of that journey, Andy blasted Ryan by referring to him and his show as ‘losers.’

That comment received a significant amount of backlash because not only was Andy drunk, the very fact of the matter is that his behaviour was out of line during live television.

In an attempt to draw a line under the sand, Ryan shared the viewing figures for his show. According to The Wrap, Ryan received the highest ratings from all the other competitors.

So much so that the viewing figures were just shy of 20 million with an apparent 19.6 million tuning in. That is why it is no surprise to hear that Ryan could not help but share the news with his fans.

In a post to his fans on Instagram, Ryan shared a picture of himself smiling as he was wearing a suit. The post was captioned by the following comments: “Thank you to everyone who made this year’s #RockinEve another success!

“To all those who tuned in, to my amazing co-hosts…as well as the incredible artists and the crew who made the 50th Anniversary so special. We couldn’t have done it without you!”

Andy has certainly shot himself in the foot with his behaviour. In comparison to Ryan, his hosting skills left nothing to be desired.

Although he did apologise for attacking Ryan, Andy defended his decision to be drunk on the show as he justified it on the basis that it was New Year.

But with Ryan having kept his cool, he has ultimately walked out of this saga with a lot of praise. Ryan should be applauded for continuing to keep his cool at what must have been a difficult period.

And perhaps, that is something that Andy can learn from him going forward. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
