Talk show host Piers Morgan has blasted Prince Harry after reports indicated that he would not be returning to the UK unless he could fund his security.

This was on the grounds that the UK is no longer a safe place for him to come back to especially in light of the increasing media intrusion he has been subjected to in the aftermath of his Oprah Winfrey interview.
In addition, given Queen Elizabeth II had also faced a scare on Christmas day when a man had been arrested at Windsor Castle, while being in possession of a crossbow on the grounds of trespass, this has also suggested that it is not potentially safe for Harry to return without adequate protection.
But expecting the UK government to acknowledge Harry’s concerns, even though he is no longer a member of the Royal Family has naturally led to a lot of criticism.
And now this has resulted in a legal battle that could end up getting very messy indeed between Harry and the Home Office. In an official statement, Piers slammed Harry’s conduct.
He said: “[Harry is] behaving like a shameless, deluded, woefully entitled hypocrite. [He] seems to have delighted in making his 95-year-old grandmother’s life more difficult.”
Nevertheless, if this issue does not get resolved and Harry does not return to the UK, then it will have significant consequences for the following reasons. First of all, his tell-all memoir is set to be released this year.
Therefore, if there is not any sign of support being shown from the UK, then there is a feeling that Harry may be very frank in his disclosures.
Secondly, in any event, the much broader implication is that the Queen as well as the Royal family in general will not be able to have a relationship with his children Archie and Lilibet.
And that is only going to rub further salt in the wound, as it would demonstrate potential favouritism towards Prince William and Kate Middleton’s kids. It will be fascinating to see if Piers faces any pushback for his comments.
