Demi Lovato wants the world to know that she’s certainly feeling stronger today than she did yesterday. According to reports, Demi Lovato has completed yet another rehab stint under the radar, and three years after her near overdose. The singer “will have a sober living companion [with] them during this transition.” Here’s what you need to know.
According to People, “Demi is committed to their well-being, and throughout their life, they plan to do regular check-ins to make sure they are putting themselves first.” She recently returned to Utah for treatment but is now back home and “doing well.”
Here’s What You Need To Know About Demi Lovato’s Most Recent Rehab Stint
Last year, Demi decided to reenact her overdose for her new Dancing With The Devil music video. The singer opened up about the almost fatal experience in her YouTube docuseries, Demi Lovato: Dancing With The Devil.
Demi said that one the night of her near-fatal overdose back in 2018, she was given heroin laced with fentanyl and the dealer “ended up getting her really high and leaving her for dead.” If that weren’t enough, she was also sexually assaulted.
“Creating the music video for #DancingWithTheDevil was not the easiest shoot I’ve ever done… ,” she wrote of the video, which shows her in a hospital bed and other powerful scenes. “I create my art to heal, and to inspire others. I’m here today and I’m happy you are too.”
“I didn’t just overdose. I was taken advantage of,” Demi says in the docuseries. “When they found me, I was naked, blue. I was literally left for dead after he took advantage of me.”
