Model Bella Hadid has not let the previous criticism she has received for showcasing her support for Palestine detract her, as she was spotted wearing some jewellery displaying the country.
Bella Hadid Defies Her Critics To Show Her Support For Palestine
Bella, for her part, has previously been criticised for being anti-semitic on the grounds that she chooses to support Palestine in light of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
While her critics have claimed that she has been engaging in anti-semitism, the very fact of the matter is that Bella has defended herself on the basis that she expresses criticism towards the state of Israel, as opposed to Jewish people.
And this very sentiment was seen in the following picture. In the image here, we can see that Bella is having a night out. She is wearing a brown dress and on her neck we can see a necklace that is visible with the word ‘Palestine’ spelled out.
Her support for Palestine is no surprise for the following reasons. First of all, Bella’s father, Mohamed Hadid is in fact from a Palestinian background.
And given that he has always tried to support the country, it is hardly surprising to hear that his daughters have followed in the same way.
Secondly, Bella’s prior track record on Instagram also suggests that she is not shy about expressing her views, despite what others may think. This is even to the point where she does not fear being cancelled simply because of what she believes.
In a prior post on Instagram, she remarked: “The way my heart feels … To be around this many beautiful, smart, respectful, loving, kind and generous Palestinians all in one place …
“It feels whole! We are a rare breed!! It’s free Palestine til Palestine is free!!!” The response on social media was once again very mixed.
Given that the conflict has always been very divisive along many fault lines, whatever Bella was going to say could have inadvertently attracted some criticism.
That is why, she is going to continue to double down on her beliefs. And that should at the very least be commended. So there you have it folks. What do you think?
