Selling Sunset’s Christine Quinn Admits She Struggled With ‘Panick Attacks’ During Her Pregnancy
The star had been praised for the remarkable recovery she had managed to make in being able to get back to her usual figure, as well as returning to the show.
But in doing so, a certain subset of people believed that Christine’s pregnancy was not that genuine. They alleged that she had used a surrogate and was therefore misleading the public by setting an unrealistic view of motherhood and health.
This caused the star to respond in kind by denying the accusations, which she took offence to especially given that she had been through a traumatic birth.
Christine admitted that she had to have an emergency C-section in order to ensure that her son Christian could be born. That is why she admitted that this was one of the most difficult periods in her life.
In an interview with ET Canada, she said: “I was pregnant on top of dealing with postpartum depression…this season was really difficult for me.
“I did the best that I could with the emotions that I was dealing with at the time and that I’m still dealing with now.” Things had gotten so bad that she ended up suffering from post-traumatic-stress disorder.
But rather than the public being aware of that, people simply decided to comment on how she managed to get back to such a thin figure. This began to take its toll, as the star was exhibiting unusual behaviour on the set.
Given that she is known for being such a consummate professional, which is why she is one of the most successful real estate realtors on the show, this was a tough adjustment period for her.
She added: “They make fun of the fact of me being late in the show. ‘Oh, Christine’s late. Oh, Christine’s late.
“And it’s because I was literally having panic attacks and I was worried about my pregnancy and something going wrong.” Christine should be commended for staying strong after everything she has been through.
