‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ star Jennifer Shah has suffered a huge setback after a judge rejected a motion to have her fraud case dismissed.

Jennifer, for her part, has been embroiled in a telemarketing fraud scandal which has resulted in her potentially facing some legal charges. Her assistant Stuart Smith has already pleaded guilty, which has only gone on to throw the spotlight on Jennifer even further.
Jennifer was alleging that she would not be granted the right to a fair trial following the airing of the Hulu documentary which she believed included ‘prejudicial’ statements about her.
At the time of the incident, her attorney stated the following: “Their behavior has destroyed any chance that Ms. Shah will have a fair trial with an impartial jury.”
But given that the judge has now rejected this claim, it has left her with some major trouble as her defence will have to be prepared to counter any further accusations coming her way.
Not only that, but time is running out for Jennifer to put up a credible defence as the trial is set to go ahead in March of next year.
Judge Sidney H. Stein, who happened to be presiding over the motion, had this to say: “There has been no evidence whatsoever proffered to suggest that Shah’s right to a fair trial has been compromised.”
Jennifer has continued to double down on her beliefs and maintain that she is innocent. That is not something which has gone down well with the housewives. As such, there have been concerns as not everyone has been convinced by Jennifer’s side of the story.
In a conversation with Jennifer on the show, fellow housewife Mary Cosby infamously stated: “I pray to God you’re guilty… [I mean], you’re innocent.”
The dismissal was no surprise, given the severity of the claims that were being made. There is still a long way to go, as further evidence could come to light to shed more clarity on the matter.
