Meghan Markle is apparently the most influential member to have ever come from the Royal family.
Meghan Markle Is More Influential Than Queen Elizabeth II
That is according to a study conducted by Design Bundles. According to the findings, Meghan’s leverage has gone up ever since she decided to leave the Royal family.
So much so that she is even more influential than Queen Elizabeth II. The statistics show that Meghan had gained 7.4 million Google searches and had 11,200 articles written about her.
And on reflection, it is easy to see why. First of all, ever since she left the Royal family, she was able to speak her mind more freely without the fear of what the repercussions could be when it came to the monarchy.
Secondly, given that she is a lot younger than the Queen, there is a feeling that the Queen’s influence is about to decline, as shown by her increasing health issues.
Furthermore, Meghan has made attempts to integrate herself within US politics, as shown by her desire to have paid parental leave. All these things have drawn her criticism from a variety of groups, which has only gone on to make her name more widespread.
In an official statement given by a spokesperson on behalf of Design Bundles, they said: “Now, the Duchess of Sussex is likely the most talked-about and influential woman in the entire world, as well as in the Royal Family.
“Meghan, along with husband Prince Harry, has always rejected the royal tradition to bury one’s private opinions.”
But it is not just her openness that has resonated well. Meghan has spoken out on some very significant issues such as racism, as well as women’s equality.
The latter has been shown through the launch of her recent 40×40 campaign, where she hoped to offer a mentoring scheme to women that had been impacted by the pandemic to get them back into work.
The statement added: “Meghan’s bravery and boldness in speaking up about issues such as racism, parental leave and empowering women are unlike any other royal, and her voice is a powerful and enduring one.”
