Kylie Jenner has finally broken her silence by posting her first Instagram post ever since the Astroworld incident.
Kylie Jenner Breaks Her Instagram Sabbatical By Posting Christmas Message Amid Astroworld Tragedy-Fans Respond ‘WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN’
Her lover Travis Scott is currently facing many lawsuits as a result of the Astroworld concert in which a reported 10 people died and many others were injured.
Not only that, but Kylie was also criticised in the aftermath due to a social media post she put up of her brand, when it came to light that people had suffered there.
And ever since that moment, she has been keeping a low profile on social media in light of the suffering that the victims as well as the families have been going through.
In a post to her fans on Instagram, Kylie shared a picture of her mother. She is dressed in red and enjoying the Christmas festivities. The post was captioned by the following comments: “Merry Christmas eve.”
This post was very telling for the following reasons. First of all, Kylie did not post a picture of herself during the festive period.
This is understandable because it would have most likely received backlash given that it could have been interpreted as rubbing salt into the wounds of the victims of Astroworld.
It would demonstrate how she is simply getting on with her life, while those victims have not been able to do so. Secondly, given that Christmas is about spending time with one’s family, it is clear that she values her mother very highly.
And at a time where she has been through so much, it is only natural that she would want to spend time with her close ones. The response on social media was still one of outrage.
A certain subset of people continued to remind the star that they had not forgotten what had occurred at Astroworld. In this way, they wanted to make sure that the deceased were remembered this Christmas.
One person wrote: “WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO THE LOST ONES.” It is clear that it will still take a while before Kylie is fully accepted back into the public.
