The Duggars have had quite a rough few weeks and there are more of their family members making statements about the possession of child pornography charges against Josh Duggar and how his father, Jim Bob Duggar is still supporting him. One family member to come out against Jim Bob is his son-in-law, Derick Dillard, who is married to Jill Duggar.
Counting On: Derick Speaks Out Against Jim Bob
Derick has always been very open about his feelings about his wife’s famous family. He recently spoke out about how her father is “verbally abusive” and “manipulative”. He didn’t hesitate to hide this from anyone either. He posted it all over social media for all to see, just how Derick likes to do things.

Derick and Jill have been married since 2014 and he wanted to point out how he was feeling about Jim Bob publicly. The post that he responded to was on Facebook and it was about the Arkansas Senate campaign that Jim Bob is running for. During the election this week, it looks like Jim Bob did not get voted into the runoff.
Derick wrote, “I used to have much respect for Jim Bob, as my father-in-law, and I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt for years. Unfortunately, it’s only become clearer to us over time just how deep this man’s manipulation and deceit will go for his own gain, at the expense of others. He has lied to my wife and I numerous times. When confronted privately, he is not humble, but he is defensive and verbally abusive.”
He went on, “When he says he cannot be bought, the truth is that he has a history of being a sellout to anything that he can personally profit from, and he will justify it however he wants to continue his personal agenda. Again, if he has lied and continues to lie to his best friends and his own family, will he LIE to YOU?”
Jim Bob and his wife, Michelle Duggar have yet to speak out about Derick’s post. It looks like his wife, Jill will stay be him no matter what. They have always been estranged from her family and now the truth seems to be really coming out for the Duggar family. Jill continues to distance herself from everyone in the Duggar household, but she will go visit her sisters sometimes.
