Queen Elizabeth II is reportedly loving her time as a grandmother, despite her recent health struggles.
British Royal Family News: Queen Elizabeth II Loves Spending Time With Her Grandkids-‘The Queen Is In Her Element’
That is according to Royal expert Kerene Barefield. It is no surprise that the Queen has been putting in more effort towards her grandkids in light of everything that has happened.
First of all, the death of her husband Prince Philip has left a gaping hole in her life. Secondly, given that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not present, she has not managed to forge a relationship with their kids.
That has only gone on to add to her desire to spend time with her other grandchildren. In an interview with Us Weekly, Kerene said: “The queen is in her element when she’s got her great-grandchildren sitting on her lap and having that family time.”
Being around family is extra special and none more so than with Christmas around the corner. Despite having had numerous health problems, the Queen has once again managed to put her troubles aside and look towards the positives.
And those include having 12 grandchildren. While Archie and Lilibet will not be present during Christmas, there are still plenty of things that she can pass on to her ten other grandchildren.
The source added: “I’m sure it’s something that we’ll never ever get to witness — that kind of really relaxed family time, which is what everyone else has at Christmas.”
And standing by her family even in tough times is something that she prides herself on. This can be seen by reports that the Queen and Prince Andrew have put their troubles behind them, as they will spend Christmas together.
There were initial reports that Andrew may not be present following his current sex abuse scandal that is set to go for a trial in the New Year. As long as the Queen has her family by her side, then she is well-equipped to deal with anything that will come her way.
This is vital given her old-age and ailing health. And that can only be a good thing going forward for the rest of the Royal family. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
