A TikToker (@mac1eann) has gone viral after he shared his mother’s beliefs about the theories surrounding the QAnon movement.

TikToker Shares His Mother’s QAnon Beliefs-‘Do Not Get Vaccinated’

QAnon is a political movement that has garnered leverage recently, which stresses that the world is being run by a cartel of powerful people who engage in Satan worship and paedophilia.

Given that this has gained traction amongst right-wing supporters within the US, it has divided the political landscape. So much so that it has begun to have an influence on the political opinions of families.

In the following video, the user shared a series of messages from his mother. Some of the texts included: “Take the mask off now, Do not get vaccinated Mac [and] Do not drink tap water. They will lie to [you].”

The video generated over three million views, and along with that, there were many divergent opinions. Some suggested that these issues were ultimately between families and therefore should not be subjected to public opinion.

Others, however, called out the mother over her political views. They felt that she was outrageous for believing such things and in trying to convince her child over it.

One person wrote: “I genuinely think these people need to have a study done on them bc how did mostly functioning adults start believing all of this,” while another remarked: “It’s actually so frustrating to see the person you are supposed to go to for guidance become so lost.”

This is not the first time that this has happened on TikTok. Another user opened up on how her parents would often say similar things.

And given that these issues are so sensitive, there is a feeling that people should be allowed to make an informed choice when it comes to things such as vaccines.

Another TikToker stated: “My mom told me that the vaccine would change my DNA and God wouldn’t let me into heaven because the name God gave us is in our DNA.”

@mac1eann has not responded to whether he actually believes in the statements that his mother has put forward. But one thing for sure is that QAnon is continuing to have influence.
