Republican Senator Ted Cruz BLASTED For Implying That Covid Variants Are a ‘Nefarious Democratic Conspiracy’

Republican Senator Ted Cruz has been slammed on social media over his comments about Covid-19.

Republican Senator Ted Cruz Called Out For Implying That Covid Variants Are ‘Some Nefarious Democratic Conspiracy’

Ted, for his part, has no shortage of controversy when it comes to giving his opinion about the pandemic. Just recently, he called out Sesame Street character Big Bird over his decision to tweet the fact that the character had been vaccinated.

So much so that Ted went on to refer to this as ‘government propaganda.’ While that did get him some praise from a certain subset of people, it looks as though his comments have garnered a lot of opposition.

Following the release of the new Covid variant, otherwise known as Omicron that was recently discovered in South Africa, Ted responded to that news by suggesting that there are always going to be new variants, despite vaccination rates being at an all-time high.

In a post to his fans on Twitter, Ted responded with the following words: “True that,” in reference to a tweet put up which had stated, “Spoiler alert: there’s always going to be another variant.”

The post instantly went viral with more than 10,000 likes, and with that, a lot of people had something to say on the matter.

A significant proportion of Ted’s critics suggested that the politician was implying that such variants were being manufactured by virtue of the fact that the Senator recognised that variants were not going to go away.

Mehdi Hassan, who happens to be a political commentator, had this to say: “Ted Cruz and various rightwing conspiracists are trying to suggest new variants are part of some nefarious Democratic conspiracy.

“And yet the same Cruz said last year that the pandemic would ‘magically’ disappear if Dems retook the White House.”

Regardless of whether you agree with Ted’s comments or not, it is clear that Covid-19 has changed the landscape of the world forever.

And with the rise of new variants, there is always going to be the question of whether life is ever going to go back to what it was before. We will have to see how things play out.
