Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were snubbed by Queen Elizabeth II, who had reportedly removed a photo of them during her Christmas speech.
Author Claims That Queen Elizabeth II Had Decided To Remove A Christmas Photo Of Prince Harry And Meghan Markle
That is according to Christopher Andersen and his book entitled ‘Brothers and Wives: Inside The Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry and Meghan.’ Thereafter, the pair decided that enough was enough as they decided to relocate overseas.
That move hit the couple harder, given that other members of the Royal family, which included Prince William and Kate Middleton, were in a photo. Therefore, it showed that the Queen had an apparent preferential treatment towards the others.
In the book, a source is stated as saying the following words: “[The Queen] looked over the tables where the photographs she had so lovingly selected were arranged.”
This was then followed by an action in which the Queen had allegedly stated: “That one, I suppose we don’t need that one,” by pointing at Harry and Meghan’s picture.
This begs the question, why would the Queen do such a thing? According to reports, Harry and Meghan decided to spend their 2019 Christmas in Canada at Meghan’s mother’s (Doria Ragland) house.
As such, the Queen may have felt that this was an insult, given that it is the only time of year where the rest of the family would have otherwise been united.
Regardless of whether this had happened or not, the decision to exclude such a photo based on this reason is understandably something that Harry and Meghan would have felt as being deplorable. And yet, the Royal family remained coy on such a claim.
In an official statement given on behalf of the Royal family to the New York Post, a spokesperson remarked: “We don’t comment on books of this kind as to do so risks giving it some form of authority or credibility.”
Given that Harry’s memoir is set to come out sometime next year, there is an increasing feeling that this story and other bombshells could be explored within the book. With that in mind, the book cannot come soon enough.
