Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’: Finn Wolfhard Reveals HEATED Rivalries On-Set

A couple of weeks ago we all saw that the new Stranger Things trailer was out, and we’re all here for it. Eleven will be returning to Hawkins’ Indiana from… California? We’ll get to see the rest of the gang again. This time it looks like the story will take place over the course of Spring Break.

Though honestly, aside from dictating a letter to Mike, Eleven doesn’t really spoil things very much at all. We see her at her new school and we see that while she puts on a brave face for Mike, she’s not actually fitting in all that well… as is usually the case. Once a geek, always a geek.

Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’: Finn Wolfhard Reveals HEATED Rivalries On-Set

The trailer doesn’t say how, but we can see that things quickly escalate from a nice, fun spring break trip into large-scale world espionage. If this is the high school we kind of have to wonder what Stranger Things the college years is going to look like, but I digress.

Speaking of drama, Finn Wolfhard who plays Mike on the show recently said in an interview that when the cast was younger there were actually rivalries on the set between cast members! “When you start a show that young, there’s rivalries and dramas because it’s like school, and then you become older and you stop caring.” he has a point, the cast members were all in their middle school years when the show started, and that is a prime time in one’s life for drama.

“I think it’s actually such an incredible thing to come back to each other and be like ‘wow, I really understand you, we’re all going through this thing together, I love you.” how sweet! Wolfhard also spoke highly of his co-star Charlie Heaton, promising that Mike and Jonathon will have a lot more screen time together in season 4.

Considering Jonathon and Mike barely interacted in seasons previous, this will be pretty interesting. The only thing that Mike knows about Jonathon Byers is that he’s Will’s big brother, and Mike and Will were very good friends. So it’ll be interesting to see how this angle is handled.

Unfortunately, Stranger Things won’t be here until the middle of 2022 so we’re still all waiting with bated breath, but we at DSD will be here first thing when Strange Things Season 4 premieres… according to the creators, it’s well worth the 2 year-long wait. We’re dying!!! Stay tuned!!!
