LeBron James Mocks Kyle Rittenhouse For Faking Crocodile Tears While On Trial For Murder: ” What tears????? I didn’t see one. Man, knock it off”

    LeBron James

Kyle Rittenhouse, who had shot three people (two dead and one injured) during some protests against racial injustice, has been trolled by NBA star LeBron James as the defendant broke down on trial.

Kyle, for his part, has maintained that he only acted in self-defence. He alleged that he was suddenly ambushed, which made him have no choice but to act. Therefore, he was only acting in self-defence which is something that anybody would have done.

In an official statement at the trial, he said: “I didn’t do anything wrong. I defended myself. I didn’t intend to kill them. I intended to stop the people who were attacking me.”

This whole incident had occurred in response to the outrage caused by the police shooting of Jacob Blake, which left him paralysed. And it followed much in the same way of the anger caused by the death of George Floyd.

Although some may sympathise with Kyle, if they do believe his account, LeBron James did not see it that way. In fact, he mocked Kyle for what he perceived to be a lack of sincerity.

As such, he believes that Kyle only showed emotion because he knew he might do time behind bars, rather than actually having some genuine remorse.

In a post to his fans on Twitter, LeBron questioned whether Kyle was, in fact, crying genuinely. He said: “What tears????? I didn’t see one. Man, knock it off! That boy ate some lemon heads before walking into court.”

The response on social media, however, was not very kind to the basketball star. A large proportion felt that it was inappropriate to mock somebody who could be doing time behind bars, especially when they were defending themselves. After all, people should be given the benefit of the doubt until they are proven guilty.

One user wrote: “Millionaire professional athlete would rather use his massive online platform to mock a teenager describing how he was forced to defend himself after being attacked than say a single thing about the human rights abuses of his handlers in China. Moral cowardice.”

LeBron’s comments may come back to haunt him if Kyle is declared innocent. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
