American actor Jon Gosselin was reportedly taken to hospital after being bitten by a poisonous spider in what was an unexpected event.
American Actor Jon Gosselin Was Reportedly Hospitalised Following A Bite By A Deadly Spider
Jon, for his part, knew that something was wrong immediately after he began to notice a change in his body.
During the course of the incident, the actor stated how he was in unbearable pain while being in bed at his house in Reading, Pennsylvania. And as he woke up the next morning, he noticed that his leg had become extremely swollen.
During an interview with The Sun, he said: “It was really weird because when I looked at my leg, I realized it was twice the size and there’s a red-looking blister with a large red circle around it.”
Thereafter, Jon made the decision to go to hospital as he knew that something was extremely wrong. And after arriving at the hospital, the doctors confirmed the worst.
They informed Jon that he had been bitten by the deadly spider known as the ‘Brown Recluse.’ As such, if the doctors did not act immediately, then there could have been severe long term consequences.
He added: “[Doctors] immediately knew the pain was from a brown recluse [deadly spider]. The doctor told me that I was lucky to come in because if you don’t treat this, you can lose limbs or die from a bacterial infection.”
Jon did not let that incident put him down, though. He managed to dust himself off and focus on trying to make a change in his life. In addition, he took the doctor’s advice to ensure that he had gotten enough recuperation to overcome this injury.
And after having done that, Jon managed to notice a considerable improvement in his health. His following comments confirmed as much: “It’s finally healing after a week, and the swelling has improved.
“And the pain is just where the bite is rather than my entire leg. I’ve never been bit by a spider in my whole life… let’s face it, it hasn’t been my year.”
